    • Shelley Alexander says:

Hi Jacs, I know that Essential Living Foods, Vivapura, and Navitas Naturals all offer raw cacao and the cacao butter but I don’t know if they ship to the UK. You might want to substitute a local preferably organic cocoa powder for the raw cacao powder and use virgin coconut oil for the cacao butter. Let me know if you find a source for that in the UK. For my smoothies feel free to use local fruits and leafy greens from your farmers markets or local grocery store. Also I believe that Whole Foods is in the UK and offers alot of the superfoods I use in my recipes. Let me know if this helps!

  3. Those truffles look delicious!!!

  6. Hi Shelley,
I am headed over there right now to read your recipe. I am an adviser to an artisan chocolate company, and I am helping them move from the sugary, syrupy versions into healthy gourmet chocolate that vegans and athletes will love. I am looking for creative ideas for them so I will check out your recipe. Where do you source your chocolate? As I wrote on my blog recently, I love walnuts and cranberries are also always in my kitchen so this would be a great combination and fun to try out.

    Best wishes

Hi Clare, I’m so happy to hear that you helping the artisan chocolate company to make better ingredient choices for their gourmet chocolates. I like the raw cacao and cacao butter from Essential Living Foods, followed by Navitas Naturals and Vivapura. For healthy sweeteners my favorite choices are organic coconut sugar, organic maple syrup-grade B, Raw Honey, Sucanat, and Rapadura. Wholesome Sweeteners is a great company to source these sweeteners from. Hope this helps! Let know if you need anything else.

  7. Hi Shelley,

that is so awesome that you got featured on a blog that has connections with ‘famous people’ like Ellen Degenres. You deserve it!

I love your recipe and I will see where I can get cocoa butter.
The combination of walnut and dark chocolate is a great idea!

Thank you so much for sharing this!
